City of Pittsburgh: Samudra was selected to participate in the Energy Efficient Street Light Conversion pilot project by the City of Pittsburgh and is currently a part of it. A Samudra Solid State Lighting fixture was installed on Sydney Street on May 27, 2009 as part of the project for evaluation and monitoring the performance over a period of eight months.
Initial test reports have shown exceptional results in terms of low power consumption and illumination levels – topping all other 48 participants.
