The promoters of Samudra, Mr. Prafulla Thote and Mr. Shirish Deshpande have filed Patents in PCT and non PCT countries.

The Patent is on the unique process of converting LEDs into usable lighting fixtures. This unique technique enables flexibility in customizing the fixtures as per the requirement of the customer. This customization can be achieved very fast and most precisely. The Process compliments the Life Cycle of more than 50000 hours of LEDs by fulfilling the conditions of most Efficient Heat Management, Electronics, Engineering and illumination. We strongly feel that this process makes it, not only the best Engineered LED Lighting Product in the world, but also the most energy efficient as well.

Following are some of the salient features of this Technology offered by none other in the world:
a)
Most Efficient Heat Management Technique: The heat is transmitted in the X – Y Axis of the fixture and the dimension of Z axis is minimized to less than 6 mm. This enables to maintain the Junction Temperature of HPLED much below its specified Limit and Efficient transfer of heat into the atmosphere. The Heat is dissipated to the atmosphere not only from the top of the fixture but from all of its sides.
b)   
Flexibility in designing fixture for any application without any additional expense. This     can be achieved very fast and most precisely.
c)    
Fixture can be designed with multiple Light Sources and each such source can be directed in desired areas to illuminate different directions simultaneously.
d)   
This process compliments the environment   as 99% material used within the product is environment-friendly and recyclable.
e)     
Every component and part of the fixture has an Active Part which helps in optimizing the performance of the product.
 
 A holistic approach:
 
Samudra’s core competence has been to design and manufacture power supplies. Being in this sector of power electronics, to make the power supply more and more efficient has always been the bottom line.

The emergence of High power LED’s (HPLED) provided this wonderful opportunity to convert the HPLED into a usable lighting fixture. It required knowledge and experience of handling High Power Devices, heat management and engineering to build a LED lighting product which would have the highest efficacy.

25% of Energy produced Globally is consumed by the lighting sector. This lighting sector has existing products which are environmentally harmful, inefficient, requires frequent maintenance and inconsistency in the color temperature. Due to this, there is a concern on Global Warming, Higher Carbon Footprints and disposing of non working traditional HPS/MH/MV/CFL lamps.  

HPLED with well engineered design is the only answer to the concerns stated above. Samudra with all its experience and knowledge did extensive research on conversion of HPLED into a usable Lighting Fixture. Samudra believes in creating Energy through savings by introducing High Efficacy LED Lighting Fixtures for both indoor and outdoor applications. The objective has been to have a business model with a social cause.

To increase production capacity, Samudra has an exclusive factory to manufacture HPLED fixtures at Plot No. C-2, Village Vanzarwadi, Baramati MIDC, Baramati, Dist. Pune - 413 133 (India).

Samudra Electronic Systems Pvt. Ltd. India, has tied up with Samudra Global Energy Inc., a US based company to meet the growing needs of the North American market.
